Hello
My full name is Tirunillayi Veeraraghavan Raghuraman. The first two words indicate my place of birth and my father’s name respectively. Born into an orthodox Hindu Brahmin family my roots can also be traced with precise info about my Gothra, Veda, and Sutra with which we identify ourselves when we offer pranams to elders! We are a family of four brothers and one sister. Being the youngest I have had the privilege of getting an over dose of care and affection as usual in our system.
The pet name with which I was addressed by my parents, elder brothers and sister is Konthai. My sister still continues this tradition, and I privately enjoy the same as it carries with it an extra care, concern and affection! I also shoulder many other titles with matching responsibilities! I am Raghu to my wife, close relatives and friends, Appa to my sons, Mama to my sister’s children, Chittapa to my brother’s children, TVR, TV, to some others.
My area of specialisation is Agriculture, which I have been practising for the last 30 odd years. Having profitably managed thousands of acres of Orchards and Plantation crops, it’s my desire to do of my own in my retirement, preferably in a high altitude of over 3500 metres. Time will tell!
